Purpose
IP-5-11-L3 is a ready-made set designed to power an IP CCTV system consisting of 5 IP cameras. The electronic protections of the PoE outputs ensure the continuity of the entire system's operation in case of short circuits or overloads of individual power branches, as well as automatic voltage recovery after the failure has cleared. Sets with PoE switches are intended to work with IP cameras and other network devices powered by the PoE 802.3at/af and PoE PASSIVE standards.
The "Long Range" mode allows for increased transmission range up to 280m using standard UTP computer twisted pair. The switch operates in two modes: standard and extended range. When the Long Range switch is in the OFF position, all ports operate at 100 Mbps and offer Ethernet network range up to 100 meters. When the dip switch is switched to the ON position, the range is increased to 280 meters, and the speed on ports 1 to 4 is reduced to 10 Mbps. This bandwidth is sufficient to efficiently handle one camera. In both modes, the speed of UpLink ports 5 and 6 is 100 Mbps.
By enabling the LongRange mode, we provide greater flexibility in camera placement. Increasing the distance from the switch allows for easier coverage of a large area without the need to build additional distribution points.
