The full set is usually purchased separately only an electrotrailer fitted to the gate.
2. What is the difference between an intercom set and a video intercom set? +
The difference is how to verify the caller. Classic ** intercom set** offers only voice transmission (audio) – we hear the guest, but we can't see him. In turn the **domophone video set** is equipped with a camera in the external panel and a colour LCD screen (monitor) inside the house. The video phone dramatically increases the level of safety, allowing visual identification of the visitor and viewing the entrance environment at any time.
3. What does it mean that the intercom set is bi-wire ( 2-Wire system)? +
2-wire intercom sets is an extremely popular and modern solution. This means that all communication (both audio transmission, video image transmission and power supply and gate/furter control) is carried out using a **single pair of cables**. This is an excellent choice when upgrading the old intercom system, as it allows you to replace equipment with modern (even with video) without the need for embarrassing and costly replacement of cables in the ground.
4. What are the characteristics of IP/Wi-Fi intercom sets? +
This is the most technologically advanced **intercom sets**. They operate based on a LAN computer network (UTP cable) or wireless Wi-Fi. Their biggest advantage is **integration with smartphone**. When someone pushes a button on the gate, the intercom redirects the call to the app on the phone. You can talk to a courier, you can see him, or even open a gate or an entry gate from anywhere in the world where you have Internet access.
5. What cable is best placed under the installation of the intercom set in the ground? +
For laying in the ground (from house to gate bar) it is absolutely necessary to use the external, dedicated gelled cable in the black PE shell** (resistant to moisture and UV radiation). For classic intercoms and 2-wire systems, a telecommunications cable is recommended, e.g. **XzTKMXpw 4x2x0.5 or 4x2x0.8**. In the case of digital IP systems, the base is an external, gelled computer joint **in ground (e.g. Madex cat. 5e UTP/FTP external)**. You must not put white internal cables in the ground because they will be degraded after the first winter.
6. What is a intercom with an encryptor and is it worth choosing? +
Encryptor intercom kit has a numerical keyboard on the external panel. It allows homeowners to open the gate by entering a programmed PIN code, without having to use a traditional metal key. This is an extremely convenient solution – eliminates the problem of lost keys and makes it easier to enter the property, e.g. children or gardener, to whom we can give a separate, temporary code.
7. How does opening the intercom work with RFID keypads / proximity cards? +
External panels equipped with RFID proximity reader allow to release the electro-trailer after approaching the keyboard of a special token – a small keyring or plastic card (usually operating at 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz Mifare). Opening takes a fraction of a second and is completely non-touchable. Most of the intercom sets in our offer already have several such keyrings in the starting set.
8. Can the intercom set for one home be extended with additional headphones or monitors? +

10. What is the difference between a surface mounting and a ceiling gantry station? +
Surface assembly consists of forging an opening in a post or facade and hiding the panel body in a special can. There is only a flat, very aesthetic front outside. This solution is safer and more durable. Surface Mounting consists of turning the intercom housing directly to the wall/stop surface. It is much faster and simpler to perform (does not require forging), often used on narrow metal posts, where the sub-mounting is physically impossible.
11. Does each intercom set allow you to open an automatic door? +
Most of the modern intercom sets (especially higher classes and videodomophones) have built-in **two independent relays**. The first controls the electrotrailer in the gate (requires power) and the second is the so-called potential-free contact (NO/COM) which is connected to the control input (step by step) in the drive control unit of the entrance gate. This allows you to independently control two inputs from the uniphone or monitor level using separate buttons.
12. What is a headphone and what is a hands-free? +
Headphone It's a classic intercom receiver with a traditional earpiece on a hanging cable. It guarantees the discretion of the conversation (persons outside the house do not hear our caller). Hand-free does not have a headphone – the conversation activates with one button and the sound flows from the built-in speaker. It is smoother, more modern visualally and more comfortable when we have, for example, busy hands.
13. Are the exterior stations in the ready-made intercom sets resistant to frost and rain? +
Yes, professional exterior panels are produced in leak classes **IP44, IP54 or IP65**, which guarantees full protection against dust, dust and rainwater streams. Their housings are made of aluminium, zinc or stainless steel alloys, so that they can operate reliably at extreme temperatures from -30°C to up to +60°C. In addition, many sets have a special **protective roof** which protects against direct cuts in rain and snow.
14. What is the memory function of images in videodomes? +
This is an extremely useful safety feature available in advanced videodomophone sets. The internal monitor when the guest presses the bell button ** automatically takes a picture or records a short video*** from the external camera and stores it in the device memory or on the SD card.
